Abuja - The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it has not yet commenced the sale of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations and Direct Entry forms.
The examination body in a statement signed by the board’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, warned prospective candidates against being scammed, According to Punch reports.
Another report by Daily Trust, the JAMB spokesperson noted that any claims that the sale of forms had commenced was fraudulent and should be disregarded.
Though the exam body admitted that it had concluded plans to commence the sale of the UTME and DE forms, however, no date has been fixed.
JAMB noted that the date for the commencement of sale of the forms had never been shrouded in mystery hence, it is always published on both print and digital media.
Underage candidates who have applied for the UTME and other visitors below 18-years of age will not need to present COVID-19 vaccination cards before gaining access to the examination and facilities belonging to JAMB.
The board's head of media and protocol those below 18-years are free to access their facilities without presenting their vaccination cards.
Benjamin said Nigerians who would need to show their vaccination cards are those covered under the vaccination policy of the NCDC for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, JAMB on Monday, December 20, 2021, directed that all prospective candidates for the 2022 UTME to acquire their National Identification Numbers (NIN) ahead of the exercise.
The board made this disclosure, in its weekly bulletin released by the Office of the Registrar in Abuja. JAMB said that it would soon start the sale of application documents and registration for the 2022 UTME and Direct Entry(DE).
