TEMS says “Going to prison was a blessing”

Their arrest sparked widespread attention, leading to their release a few days later with the assistance of the Nigerian government. In an interview with ES Magazine, Tems shared her perspective on the ordeal, expressing gratitude for the experience, and stating that it served as a humbling journey for her. The “Damage” singer viewed her time in prison as an honour and emphasized how it contributed to her personal growth and humility.
